My name is Allison, and I believe that our pets make us better people. Dogs are furry bundles of love, loyalty & boundless joy, and they can teach us incredible lessons. My life gets better each time I live in the moment with my girl Bailey, and she makes me laugh every single day! I also believe in artwork that is personal and beautiful, and reminiscent of the best moments in life. Art that makes you feel intensely, and brings back memories of moments you never want to forget.
There I was: laying down on the beach, sand covering the entire front half of my body, as I waited for the coastal scenery before me to fall into place. And then I yelled: "Rio! Come here, boy!" And the labrador standing 30 yards down the beach looked up from sniffing the sand and immediately started bounding toward me! I kept my breathing steady, and focused my concentration on the big, goofy smile on his face - clicking the shutter as he ran - and at the very last second, he swerved his 110-pound body to avoid colliding with me, and settled for happily licking my face & arms instead. I stood up, brushed off the sand, and grinned as I thought to myself: I could do this every single day.
With over 12 years of experience specializing in pet photography, I've crafted my sessions into incredible experiences for my clients. I’ve studied canine psychology & body language, and have developed techniques for working with pets of all kinds of different personality types. I also lend my interior design expertise to my clients’ vision, so we can create custom artwork that’s perfectly suited to their home & personal style. That’s why I lay on the sand - and the grass in the park, and the carpet in my clients' living rooms. Those are the moments in which I create imagery that isn’t just "pictures of your dog", but a gorgeous showcase of your pet’s beauty & personality. I suppose that's my true specialty!
